What should my choir where for our house choral competition?
Hey everyone, as the title states.
I am the conductor of our house chorals or choir competition at school. It years 7-12 and i need some sort of uniform or outfit for the choir to wear.
Anyone got any ideas? (we are Green house)
The school already owns suspenders (which is what we used last year)
and I was thinking maybe cummerbunds and bow-ties?
Please help.

Hey man, They are excellent suggestions, except im not sure how large the budget will be, im guessing it will be quite small so i cant imagine buying shirts and black slacks for everyone and i cant see people going out and buying them.
I think its compulsory to wear the school uniform anyway, white shirt and dark Grey pants. But you are allowed any accessories you wish?
Maybe hats? those sparkly green $2 hats?
I am a music teacher.
If you can afford them or get your students to purchase them, the cummerbunds and bow ties would be great.
You didn’t say if there were girls in the ensemble…..Will they wear the cummerbunds and bow ties too?
Black slacks for the guys, black skirts for the gals with a white dress shirt for each. The cummerbund and bow tie will go great with the white shirt for a simple uniform outfit.
You might check out a local store that sells tux shirts. The panels on them are fancy enough that, for an even simpler solution, just the bow tie could be added. Or you can put the cummerbund and tie on the tux shirt. Girls would need to obtain a white blouse of some kind.
There are many resources on the internet for choir uniform suppliers but I assumed that these could be too expensive for you at this time because you wrote in here for ideas.
