A few controversial questions regarding babies/kids…?
I had a rather “intense” lunch the other day as a few of my mommy friends and I discussed different controversial subjects about babies/kids. I’m curious what other moms (and, dads) think, so please give your input. And, if you’d rather not give you opinion on a question, no problem. I am just interested in what other parents think and have NO INTENTION on starting any battles.
1. What are you views on birth control? Does your religion influence this?
2. What is your view on circumcision?
3. What is your view on piercing an infant girl’s ears? Toddler girl’s ears?
Again, I’m not trying to start any battles. I’m interested in seeing the many opinions and see how they are similar/different to what we discussed.

1. Birth control is Great. For anyone who is not ready to have children, or is done having children, it is necessary. Religion does not dictate any of my decisions.
2. Personal Choice- I don’t care either way. My son is circumcised (Daddy’s decision), but I don’t care if someone else decides not to circumcise their kid… Not my business, and it’s not my place to judge. I *personally* don’t think it matters much either way these days, so arguing about it is pointless IMO.
3. It’s not horrible to peirce a baby girls ears (they won’t remember it anyway), and I would never judge someone who does… however, it’s not something I would do. I would rather wait until my daughter (if I ever have one) asks me to get her ears pierced. I got mine done when I was 5- and it was a very special occasion for me, I would want it to be the same for my kids.
